Local SEO & Website Audit · Beauty salon, Enfield · prepared by Biz Lift Local

Summary

Where things stood

A ten-year-old, well-reviewed beauty salon with strong word-of-mouth but almost no visibility on Google. The website was slow, the Google Business Profile was incomplete, and the keywords the business should have owned were barely ranking. Below is what we found, and what changed.

01 · Website performance

Slow to load, especially on a phone

PageSpeed flagged the homepage as slow, mainly down to oversized images and a plugin-heavy build. The homepage's largest image alone was 92KB; it now loads at 24KB, a 73% cut, with fonts and styles set up to load instantly instead of blocking the page.

02 · Google Business Profile

Incomplete listing

The profile listed only a handful of the salon's actual services and products. Searches for treatments the salon genuinely offers were not surfacing the profile at all. Every service and product is now listed and categorised properly.

03 · Keyword strength

Weak on the searches that matter most

Core local terms like "eyelash extensions Enfield" and "lash lift Enfield" were weak, buried past page one for most searches. Both now rank position two to three on Google, backed by dedicated pages for the treatments people actually search for, instead of one page trying to cover everything.

04 · Conversion leak Fixed

Paid traffic landing in the wrong place

Paid ad traffic was landing on a generic "All Treatments" page through a broad sitelink, converting at only 15%, against 71 to 89% on pages built for one specific treatment. The sitelink now points at the two best-converting treatment pages instead of the homepage.

What we found, what we did about it

Key findings

Why show this

Anonymised nothing

Most agencies show you a template of what an audit could look like. This is what one actually looked like, with a real business's real numbers, including the parts that were not perfect yet. That is what you get from us too: an honest read of where you stand, not a sales pitch dressed up as a report.

After the call

What you walk away with

Every audit turns into the same kind of short, plain-English report. Here is what is in it.

  • The pain, in one line. The main bottleneck the audit found, in your words, not jargon.
  • Hours you could reclaim each week. A realistic estimate based on what we actually found.
  • Where this report is aimed. Whether the recommendations are mainly about winning more money, saving you time, or improving the quality of what you deliver.
  • Quick wins, at a glance. Each pain point paired straight to the tool that fixes it — high impact, low effort, so you know exactly where to start.
  • 3 to 5 recommended tools, each with what it fixes, why we picked it, the cost, how complex it is to set up, and how much time it saves you.
  • A 4-day starting plan. One small step a day, no more than 10 minutes each, that on its own gets you roughly half the benefit of the whole report.
  • What comes after the quick wins. The bigger opportunities (a CRM, a booking funnel, a workflow automation) worth doing once the quick wins are bedded in.
  • The bottom line. Weekly time returned valued at what your time is actually worth, minus the monthly cost of any tools, to give you a net monthly return in plain pounds.
  • Your next step. A direct link to book the review call, not a vague "let's stay in touch."
